About all those beginnings stored somewhere in this computer far away from hopes of endings.
Maybe some of them aren’t meant to be finished. Maybe some are just stubs of ideas and nothing more. Or maybe that’s just a pseudo-poetic way to justify moving on to the next shiny object.
Hmm.
So here is my pledge. When I finish the short story I’m currently writing (it has somewhere it needs to be!) I’m taking one of those unfinished pieces and completing it. Who’s with me? Hands up!
We can do this!

UPDATE: Looks like a bunch of people are in for what we’re going to call #MAYkingItWork! Yes. I’m really calling it that. Yes, I totally insist.

A Bit to Read 
I have so many unfinished short stories (and novels, but that’s a bit more ambitious than I’m feeling right now), so yes, lets do this once May hits. A to Z takes up a good portion of my writing time in April. It’s also a nice vacation from writing, exploring the virtual world, you know?

I’m flattered that my comment gave you the spark of inspiration for your #MAYkingItWork hashtag. I tend to agree that some ideas are not meant to be finished, that they’re paving the way for future greater ideas. But, of course, that’s me just procrastinating about finishing what I’ve started. Again.

Great idea! I used to think once I abandoned something, I could never get that magic back. But once you get a publishing deal, you sell your books with just three chapters and a synopsis…and I never have a problem going back in and picking things up when that happens.

I’m not in finishing mode, but I am in “I must damn well get an outline ready so I know where I’m going with this” mode. I’d kinda got that planned for a week in May when I’m cat & builder sitting (and have leave from my day job), so I’ll put my hand up too.
Oh & I laughed out loud at both @breakerofthings’ jokes & Ally Bean’s ‘lord love a duck’, so how could I resist?
