Having a little bit of chocolate with my Monday morning coffee. Because why not? For all we know, some unseen asteroid may be hurtling toward us at this very moment, or a certain orange despot wannabe might try to change the conversation in a big big big way, and that square of chocolate could remain uneaten.
No one wants that.
Basically, I’m eating it for the universe. And because chocolate and coffee are the BFFs that put all other BFFs to shame.
Take that, Monday.
I’m still wearing my workout leggings because they have flowers and stars and they’re ridiculous and I love them, and why not? I haven’t quite settled into the day, though the morning is nearly over, so let’s not even get started on the week.
I think I’ve finally shaken a very persistent migraine, though, so I score that as win.
And here we are.
Still sticking with Daily Burn, which I love. I’ve started doing the live workouts, and it’s a fantastic way to begin the day, an accomplishment right out of the box. This week, they’re talking about setting goals.
Ah goals.
So my goal today is to do some editing. Some messy, tedious, exasperating editing. If I could handle this morning’s workout, 30 minutes alone in a dark alley with my manuscript should be a breeze.
Happy Monday! Have a goal you want to share? Please feel free!

I love the idea of chocolate for breakfast just because you don’t know if it’ll be there later!
I’ve always said, “Life is uncertain; eat dessert first.” It’s a quote from someone, but I’ve been saying it for 30 years, and I don’t remember where I got it. You inspire me to get a chocolate croissant for breakfast. I’ve already had my first cup o’ joe, but I can always have another.
I think I forgot to pack my goals when we moved. Other than writing, I can’t wrap my head around any day in advance. Clean something, eat something, write something, read something. That’s about as precise as my goals get these days. (It’s really annoying.)
…and now I have a theme for a blog post.

YUM! I hope it was delicious!!
Ha! That’s hilarious. You can always buy more.
(Goals I mean.)
Really, one day at a time is a great way to do things, you’ll look back and see so much progress. But never look a gift post in the mouth!!
I love it when that happens.

In the absence of goals, a routine is a very good thing. And you seem to have a good routine going there, especially impressed with the fact that you’re finding time not only to write but to read 🙂
Oh & whilst that reply was to Klingon, actually Isa-Lee, you’ve been doing amazing work keeping up with the regular exercise programme. Impressed 🙂
I shall be channelling you both this week when I have the additional PITA of preparing for the annual landlord inspection in my rental apartment 😦

I figured, Debs! When I got to the reading part of your comment 😛
And thanks, the exercise helps everything else, and it’s just plain fun.
GOOD LUCK, that sounds so stressful! Clean like the wind!!
