#MondayThoughts on, surprise, a Monday

Standard

I am finally, finally on the road to recovery from that new plague. I worked out this morning (yay!) only to discover another favorite trainer is leaving Daily Burn (boo! But good luck to Cece, she deserves only good, she’s worked hard and is amazing and I hope this opportunity is wonderful).

Last night, my DVR recorded absolutely nothing, there was some kind of glitch with it, so all the things I’d looked forward to, including my much beloved “Doctor Who,” were everywhere but in my queue. Bummer.

Luckily we live in a magical age where I can watch everything I missed today through various glorious means. Nowadays no TV shows are lost, only transformed.

Also you have to wait a day, but I already did that.

As for NaNoWriMo, my lack of writing over the last week and this weekend would definitely imply that I’m out. This year just wasn’t my year. Am I going to stop working on my project?

Nah.

And who knows how the words will shake out in the end. But sometimes the world gets in your way, and that’s just how it is. It’s OK.

Anyway, happy Monday all. I hope you’re off to a nice fresh start.

  1. NO! You’re not out! You might not make 50,000, but isn’t the motivation and the challenge helpful? At the end of the month, you could be that much closer to the end…

Or maybe that’s just me. I’ve mentioned before that I’m a bit driven. If I can reach the goal early, it feels like “on time”. Either way. If I don’t see you there, I’ll see you here.

    • Totally true! At this point, I’d like to get through the day without coughing! I need to try your hot water trick.

We’ll see what happens, I’m just not stressing about it right now. But I’m really happy it’s going well for you!!

      • 1 tsp cinnamon
        1 tbsp honey
Mix them together while the kettle boils, then add boiling water.
You’ll need to keep stirring it up in between sips, because the cinnamon will settle. It’s very soothing and bonus! – boosts your immune system.
Also, my Chinese friends advised me to eat a teaspoonful of honey, straight. It coats the throat and heals. (Ancient Chinese Wisdom, can you stand it?)
        Be well!

      • Thanks! I’ve done the honey, and I do think it helps, but that honey/cinnamon drink just sounds yummy, I’m definitely in for that! I can’t wait for this cough to go, I’ve had enough of it. It’s also tiring for some reason.

China’s had a consistent civilization for thousands of years, they must be doing something right! 😉

  2. Glad you are feeling better. I’m in the same place with NaNo, too much life and too little time. I am NOT going to pressure myself to write words for the sake of my word count. I will continue doing the necessary research and the words will come when they come. 😉
