#AtoZChallenge: Computer

Standard

Here we are on day 3 of the A to Z Blogging Challenge, and SOMEONE is having some computer glitches. Not to name any names.

(It’s me.)

And though I could easily still write and post my blog with a manual fix, no, I have just spent an amount of time I refuse to calculate trying to find the missing setting.

(OK, you got me, 45 minutes. That’s right. 45.)

I guess I’m having one of those days where one small frustration morphs into another and another, until suddenly the entire day is frustration. It happens.

It’s patently unfair that we can’t control everything. If we could control everything, it would be so much easier. Although maybe it wouldn’t because while we like to think we’d always get things right, humans have the notorious trait of not doing that.

Meanwhile, by putting that frustration aside and just getting to it, my post is done. A lesson in that perhaps?

Who knows. I’m off to tinker with my computer. It will be fixed.

Frustration or no.

  1. Don’t you love computers? Last year I spent ages trying to fix up my headings and index at the top of my blog to no avail. This year tried again and it was easy. Yes the cat describes the feelings of frustration very accurately.

    • Right? It’s that look on the verge of madness.

Isn’t that always the way? Somehow some of these things fix themselves. Sadly, this one did not, but I just didn’t have the bandwidth today.

Great to see you! Can’t wait to see your theme this year.

  2. We had a small pile of laptops waiting for me to “DO SOMETHING” about :). I did finally from the four we had I got two working, nice to have spare parts. One went to the college daughter the other to the eldest’s boyfriend. I got two cups of coffee and a sandwich out of the deal 🙂

Computer problems on day 3 is really not on. I’m giving the Universe a *hard stare* on your behalf. There … that should fix it!

It may be only day 3, but I can already see that your pics are going to be A-Z winners.

    • Thanks Debs! I can feel the Universe cowering in fear!

I think the pics this year are my favorite part. Today will be a little tricky, I still have to decide if it will be the usual AccountaClub one or sticking with the theme…

      Who am I kidding? It’s E!

  4. I lost my formatting on one of my early AtoZ posts. Couldn’t be bothered to figure it out. Of course, I did figure it out before doing the next one, but the way I’m doing AtoZ – checking comments in the morning for inspiration, and writing in the evening – I didn’t want to waste the time re-configuring the stupid thing in the moment. You are a more tenacious person than I!
