It feels like a negative word to blog about, “underwhelmed.” And it mostly is, I guess, though it doesn’t always have to be, does it?
Well, maybe it does.
But sometimes, it’s just how you feel. And sometimes, it’s conveniently timed with “U.” Talk about your synchronicity.
Not sure if it’s me and my mood or things in general at the moment, but there is a lot with which I’m underwhelmed. With my performance during the A to Z; with the state of my writing right now as a whole; with the condition of my country; with my get up and go.
All very underwhelming.
Being underwhelmed can create an opportunity, though. See? Not entirely negative. Because it’s a sign to take stock, to reassess, to see what’s working and what isn’t.
Some of these things are out of our control. Some of them are within our control but feel like they are out of our control.
I’m sure you can draw your own conclusions as to which are which.
Nonetheless, Wednesday we will, in the hopes of being fully whelmed.
I hear you. I am very underwhelmed with the A-Z this year. Way less interaction than in previous years, will probably be my last year. Same with my blogs in general. My personal blog used to generate 800-1000 reads. Now I’m lucky to break 200. Don’t know how long I will bother to do either of them and suspect this may be my last year of writing books, too. Sigh….
