#Promptapalooza: Word List

Standard

No #AccountaClub this week, because for the next few days we’re doing something fun and different! #PromptaPalooza!

What is that, you ask?

It’s a special week of writing from prompts! Or almost week. Haven’t decided yet.

You know how I like to wing it.

Today’s prompt is from a list of random words I generated on this site. You can write whatever you like, as long as you like, whatever format you like.

Just incorporate these six words: noble, mysterious, harlot, convict, country, affliction.

Happy writing!

#WednesdayWisdom: So

Standard

Having one of those days when I feel like I need to be doing the thing I’m not doing when I’m doing the other thing I need to be doing.

You know what I mean?

Come on, that was totally clear. In my head, at least.

Well, I ran off to get the other thing going, and now I’m going to finish this post. I bet you didn’t even miss me!

Or maybe you did. How very sweet of you.

It’s a no-headed chicken day which somehow sounds worse than the other way, so we can pretend I didn’t call it that. The sun is shining with thin clouds and I think it’s hot again.

Writing may or may not happen today, it probably should, as should some editing, but that antsiness is tough to battle. It’s a day for being in motion, I think.

Hello errands.

However you spend your Wednesday, I hope it’s a good one.

#TuesdayThoughts: Sticky

Standard

Coffee, yet again, seems to be keeping its full glory from me. I’m already nearly down to the bottom of the cup, and I’ve found no inspiration.

How dare it.

It’s a sunny day today, one with a haze more suited to August, but I suspect it didn’t mind that September borrowed it. Streaky clouds in the sky and not a bad day for getting things done.

Which I need to do.

We had yet another new trainer this morning on Daily Burn, and I wonder who will be leaving. It seems to be the cycle of life with that program; trainers arrive, trainers leave.

He seems good. We’ll see when he leads the full thing, who knows.

Meanwhile, I’m thinking there just may be another cup of coffee in my future. Have an alert Tuesday.

#MondayThoughts: Must we?

Standard

Is it just me or does it feel extra extra Monday today? Like as though a month of Mondays got together and said, “Hey, let’s make a SuperMonday and by SuperMonday we mean ugh!”

It does, doesn’t it?

It’s gray today–fitting–though no rain, I think, only an impression of rain. My coffee refuses to go to the top floor, instead settling in somewhere around antsy.

So.

I made marshmallows this weekend for the first time, and I discovered that gelatin doesn’t smell good. I thought it had no smell, but it turns out, that is not the case. Live and learn, I guess.

I may be trying out agar next time.

They taste good, though.

I also made some pretzel rolls, which were meant to be pretzels but I couldn’t get the dough to roll out so finally I said to heck with it, shaped it into balls, and proceeded.

They’re actually kind of yummy.

Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and experiment. It may not work out, but then again, you might get pretzel rolls.

Have a great day.
