It is, isn’t it?
It’s been blazingly sunny for the last few days, and the temperatures relatively high for Chicago in December. And weirdly, so weirdly, I find myself…disappointed?
Is that possible?
It’s Chicago. In the winter. And there were people playing tennis this weekend. Outside.
Where the weather is.
It sounds windy, though. That’s something.
I guess when I took up trying to crochet, I assumed I’d be doing it with a perpetually-steaming mug of tea at hand, nodding knowingly at the large fluffy flakes gently drifting outside.
Then again, you know my favorite writing weather is dark and stormy, with the coziest spot being my keyboard.
It’s ever-so-slightly possible I romanticize the weather.
The reality is that, no matter the weather, things still need doing. Even if they don’t feel like the inside of a snow globe while doing them.
More’s the pity.
Have a fantastic Monday, and Happy Hanukkah if you celebrate!
