#FridayThoughts: Adios #AccountaClub

Standard

Things change and with that change comes change. You can write that down. It’s deep.

And thus, here in February, we bid a fond farewell, or a tepid farewell, to #AccountaClub. Oh, #AccountaClub, we hardly knew ye. Except we did, and frankly, you’re just less fun than #FridayThoughts.

So that is that. We can always still talk about our weeks, but the structured post is going the way of the dodo, poor dodo.

It’s freeing, you know, letting go of systems that don’t work for you. We don’t have to do things just because we’ve always done them, or we’ve done them for a while.

Especially in our own little corners of the universe. Well, not a corner really. More like a teeny tiny tiny tiny speck of the universe.

With that I hope you have a delightful Friday and an even more delightful weekend.

Farewell #AccountaClub, I loved you not well enough 😂 Seriously, it was helpful, up to a point … that point being when progression had stalled, which is when I ducked out. Like now. Recovering from knee surgery & contemplating the knowledge that the full replacement will be required – when rather than if is all that’s to be discovered. What I’ve discovered is that I don’t make a patient patient. Only able to peck at a keyboard atm, so will be using the pen David gifted me to actually write …

    • OH NO!! I’m so sorry to hear about your knee! I hope your recovery is swift and your new bionic status makes you even better than before.

There’s something very appealing about writing with a pen, though. Please do it in the garden, near roses (yes I know what time of year it is!) in a floppy hat.

      • Ha ha! We’ve had 3 consecutive weekends of storms, so my crutch will sink into the grass 😂 but I am hanging in there. Decided not to view this op as a waste for it’s been a useful learning experience about the practical aspects of recovery if nothing else.

    • Not bad, I’ve been doing some writing for Rantt, nuts-and-bolts political stuff, so it’s both good and bad for my sanity. I hope you’re hanging in with your recovery!!
