It’s gray and drizzly, at least I think it is, I can’t tell if it’s actually raining, and it’s definitely a baking day today. Why not?
We’re here in Quarantine Land and my coffee is chilly. Right now I’m missing the Chicago Botanic Garden, though I guess I wouldn’t be there now. I stood up and can confirm actual rain, the sidewalks and roads are wet.
I’ve decided to be less morose than yesterday, as much as a person can decide such things, though maybe the weather helps with the mentality of staying in. It will be up and down, I guess, onward from here.
I’m going to attempt marble cupcakes from this recipe. I’m not going to do marble frosting though, because I don’t have the big tip and also I just want plain chocolate.
I’ve always enjoyed marbled cakes, I realized.
Given the lockdown situation, I’m probably going to eat a lot of them, but that’s totally valid, right? If you can’t eat an entire batch of cupcakes during quarantine, when can you?
OK, I promise, some will go in the freezer. I just won’t specify how many.
Anyway, have a lovely Tuesday and may yours also be filled with cupcakes.
