#MondayThoughts: Wiley

Standard

I slammed into Monday like cartoon coyote hitting his own trap. All forward motion, boom, stopped.

I suppose that’s bound to happen on a Monday, especially after all the intensity of the last few…three-and-a-half years. I’m tired today and the coffee isn’t doing it.

Some Mondays are like that, I suppose.

Most Mondays are like that, I suppose.

It’s gorgeously sunny today, but punctuated by the sounds of sirens, a lot of sirens this morning. Not sure where or why.

The apocalypse is overrated, and there aren’t nearly enough action heroes getting us out of it.

Anyway, that’s all I have this Monday. You have a fantastic day.

  1. Just when we thought it was safe to go out Victoria started getting a rise in cases escaping from a group of returned travellers In iso at a hotel. We in NSW felt sorry for our brothers over the border but delighted in our own low numbers. Now the Crossroads Hotel in Western Sydney has become the centre of an outbreak which is escalating daily. We thought we had this thing contained but it looks like our short lived freedom may be over. We are even being told that wearing masks in hot spots is advisable. So much for Monday!

    • OH NO!! Please do wear masks, and be very careful. I feel like this is somehow the fault of the US, if we had even a slight handle on the infection in this country, the whole world would be better off. But you were always unsure, and I’ll bet that uncertainty has kept you vigilant, which is for the best. Stay well.
