Here we are, the end of the election week, and no winner declared, though it seems the writing is on the wall, and not just the angry scribblings of geriatric toddler donald trump, either. Perhaps we have righted ourselves.
Perhaps.
My focus has been better, but I suspect I can get a pass for that, it being the end of a week that, so far, has lasted four years. I’m sure no matter where you are in the world, you feel the same.
It will be interesting to see how the rest unfolds once the future is certain, how people try to pretend they never made excuses for a man who permanently ripped families apart, left Puerto Rico without power for years, demeaned our military, ignored the bounty placed on our troops, had his ICE mutilating and sexually abusing women and allowing people to die of medical neglect, who called a pandemic a hoax, all semantic games aside, and let it burn, unbridled.
A man who stoked bigotry and violence, used the government as his personal bully and demanded personal favors in exchange for official acts. A man who treated the First Amendment like a nuisance and gassed people for peaceful protest.
We will never forgot what they supported, defended and fought for.
Never.
Anyway, that’s it for me. Have a great Friday and a calmer weekend.
