#MondayThoughts: The only gear is forward

Standard

It’s looking springy out there, our second Spring in a pandemic, and it’s feeling like the world isn’t going back. Alas.

The only gear in this life is forward, so on we go.

It was a blur of a weekend and now I’m bracing myself for the annual tasks I don’t much enjoy. But being an adult is nearly all doing tasks you don’t enjoy, punctuated with a few you do. Yay adulthood.

That’s a bit grim for a Monday.

I’m less optimistic today than I thought I was when I started writing this post, I guess some days are like that on this blue marble we call home. Maybe others less so. I guess we don’t really know.

And now I’m going to consider making another cup of coffee, or, against sage advice, reheating the one I have, and try to Monday like an adult.

If I really have to.

Have a great day.
