#WednesdayWisdom: To thine own self…

Standard

Be true.

I just came up with that right now! It’s an original thought!

Just kidding. Obviously. No, this aphorism comes to us directly from the Bard himself, William Shakespeare, who may or may not have been a Sir William Shakespeare. I believe that is correct but I’m an American so what do I know.

But I digress.

In the modern tongue, be yourself. You are who you are.

Are you?

It’s a question worth asking every now and then. Are we where we want to be? Are we doing our best? Are we utilizing our talents for the greatest good?

What is that greatest good to you?

Sometimes the answers are easy. And often they are not.

But it’s not an exam. There’s no one grading your paper but you.

Be honest with that red pen, and have a great Wednesday.
