#TuesdayThoughts: Tired of opinions.

Standard

Well Monday attacked my coffee maker, and it didn’t survive the confrontation. I’ll have a new one by Wednesday, Amazon willing, but until then I have resorted to scavenged parts. It’s OK.

Not great, but OK.

It’s another sunny day, a few puffy clouds mainly for illustrative purposes only, and the construction is back at it, hammering, hammering, hammering away. That’s fun.

Oh now they’re slamming something. I hope it’s not each other.

Or maybe I hope it is, it would definitely eventually quiet things down.

I just realized that I’m tired of people’s opinions. With social media, every thought a person has can be expressed at any second of the day. Reality is bent to the will of those who chose to manipulate it, and their versions aren’t always questioned.

It’s tiresome.

Of course, as I write this the irony that it’s my opinion is not lost. But I like my opinions, I find them interesting.

And that is probably the problem.

We find our opinions interesting.

Who knows, maybe it’s my not-quite-coffee talking. Maybe it’s the last five years talking.

Or maybe opinions really are annoying.

What do you think?

(See? Inescapable.) Anyway, have a great Tuesday, I’m off to keep my opinions to myself. And of course we both know that’s not going to happen.
