#TuesdayThoughts: It doesn’t mean you have to dance to it.

If you’re following along with my mom’s progress after her stroke, the third part is up. It’s been a long three weeks.

I’m behind today, I’m not sure why or how, but I’m going separately to the hospital. I just knew I wouldn’t be ready and I didn’t want an artificial deadline.

See? Self care. I gave myself a break.

We’re so quick to judge ourselves and push ourselves and demand the impossible from ourselves. And for what?

Often, it doesn’t make an appreciable difference.

So give yourself a little extra time. Everything doesn’t have to be rushed. Just because the drum beats, it doesn’t mean you have to dance to it.

And that’s it for today. Have a great Tuesday.
