It’s rainy today, and much colder than it’s been. Given the chill inside the hospital, it may be my first sweater day of the year.
It had to come some time.
What strikes me right now is how things seem rocky for a lot of people, and not minorly rocky either. Big, undulating, treacherous waves jostling us, disorienting us.
Like the aftershocks of the last year, our attention focused in a singular direction, and suddenly the rest caught up with us.
“Hello,” it says, in that menacing, I’ve been waiting kind of way.
Indeed it has.
So if you, like me, are having at time of it right now, know you are not alone.
And if you, like me, are waiting for the seas to calm, I’m waving to you from my boat.
And if you, unlike me, are basking in glassy waters with turquoise skies overhead, enjoy them, because I know, without your even telling me, that you deserve them.
Have a great Wednesday.
