#WednesdayWisdom: You don’t always have to listen to your brain.

Standard

Granted, this sounds like it could be the advice of Aunty Ida, but I swear there’s no sci-fi aspect to this one. Well maybe a little.

Basically very little sci-fi.

This whole morning, no matter what it was time to do–get up, work out, brush my teeth, make breakfast–my brain screamed “I don’t wanna.”

Not one part of it.

“I don’t wanna.”

But I got up, I worked out, I brushed my teeth, I made breakfast. Thing by thing, I plodded through, regardless of what the voice in my head said.

And I still don’t wanna. I don’t want to get ready to go, I don’t want to drive for an hour, I don’t want to participate in the ritual which has become the routine.

I don’t wanna.

But I’m gonna.

I hope all the things you’re gonna do are done easily. Have a great Wednesday.
