#WednesdayWisdom: The planet’s cheapest means of travel.

Standard

It’s rainy today with a charmless gray sky. Flat clouds only, nothing roiling, no contrast.

Well you know what they say about April showers.

I’ve been in a foreign show phase lately, using the planet’s cheapest means of travel. The people making the shows know it too, and they give us tantalizing, escapist looks into faraway places.

Why not? They’re already there.

Once you adjust to the subtitles, it’s really no different than watching anything else, except you have to remind yourself you don’t know what the dialogue means if you aren’t looking at the screen.

Unless you know the language.

But even if you don’t, sometimes the tone is more important than the words themselves.

Or maybe that’s just me.

Anyway, if you want to go somewhere else for a while, you can do it from your couchl

Have a great Wednesday.
