Huh. Didn’t realize it was Friday the 13th until I typed the headline. No wonder there’s a Christmas Friday the 13th movie coming out. I thought that was an odd combo.
It all makes sense now.
But on to #AccountaClub! There was some editing, and there was a lot of other stuff, including taking care of some things that had been hanging over my head. So if you missed Wednesday’s post, and you have one of those, do the thing!
I did the thing. It felt great.
I also saw the Andy Warhol exhibit at the Art Institute, and it was amazing.
And on other fronts, I’ve been teaching myself to crochet through the plethora of Youtube videos, and I made two scarves! A regular one and an infinity scarf. I’m working on number three, it’s a great way to get the brain going.
Fitness was also good this week, five days, five workouts.

My brain wanted to type 2017, but my fingers knew better. Here we are at the very very back edge of 2019.
On the cusp of 2020, a year that once sounded so far in the future it was probably going to happen in the far reaches of space. I wonder if they felt that way about 1920.
Anyway, it’s AccountaClub time, when we talk about how our weeks and our projects are going.
Editing went, not in a stellar way, but I made progress. Fitness was five days, five workouts, and they were pretty good. Today was yoga, which is always, always a favorite.

Friday again! And so quickly, too.
I’m not feeling bloggy today, so it will be a quick one. Some progress was made with editing, but then I had a weird glitch and I lost my work which did not make me happy.
Plus side, only the first time through so it wasn’t very substantive.
Minus side, that’s still annoying.
I’m not missing doing NaNoWriMo, so I’m glad I opted out this year. As for fitness, five days, five workouts, so that was good.
How was your week?
Well here we are! End of the week and a brand-new month, all in one. It’s been a bit of a strange week, and we have snow on the ground already. When I said winter was on its way, I didn’t mean immediately, but here we are.
Final decision on NaNoWriMo was a no, and an unrepentant one. I just didn’t want the pressure this year; it didn’t sound fun. So I’m striding into November without even the pretense of doing it.
It doesn’t feel bad, I’ll tell you that, which makes me think I made the right decision. Besides, I have a ton of editing ahead.
Speaking of, I’ve made inroads, and while there will be a lot to hammer out, I had a line that made me laugh aloud and feels tonally perfect.
Workouts were five days, five workouts, and this week we had some fun ones on Daily Burn 365. Zombie Apocalypse on Wednesday. Yesterday everyone was in costume.

It’s been a week. An “Everything falls on the floor the moment you get it into place” week.
So not a great week.
I did do some editing, not enough but some, and more to come today. And fitness-wise, five days, five workouts.
They were good workouts, though I got up this morning extra sore. That’s good, right?

The weather is gray an oppressive, and my brain refusing to cooperate without the second big cup of coffee that is currently brewing away.
So today will be brief.
Writing, I’ve started nothing new, though ideas, like the coffee, are percolating, but more importantly: it is time.
I’ve opened the manuscript I finished a little while ago for the first read through.
Despite excellent and varied procrastinations, I’ve got to get to it. I’m going in. Wish me luck, this is when it usually gets ugly.
On the fitness front, five days, five workouts. This week they all seemed kind of mechanical, or maybe it was me. Thursday was fun, the trainer is an American Ninja Warrior, and he’s always creative in his workouts.
Wednesday was good too. Actually, really, it was just me, it was a great week of workouts and trainers, looking back.

Here we are at Friday again, it’s so strange how that seems to happen so quickly lately. Especially here in the last bits of summer.
So it won’t be a long one today, I’m still in my post-finishing phase, which usually means a bit of a writing break. Though I’ve had some ideas I want to try out.
And, of course, editing time.
On the fitness front, I did my five workouts but it was a tough week. Monday had more technical issues, and I ended up doing a previously-recorded workout. The whole week felt very challenging, I don’t know if it was me or the routines themselves, but still, I got here.
Got it done. And the truth is that even if I feel sluggish getting to a workout, I’m never sorry I did it.

I have flitting summer brain right now, as we move into August and Fall lurks just around the corner. It’s been a quick summer but they always seem that way, don’t they?
The dog days. Why they’re called that, I don’t know, but that they are.
Of course I had to look it up. It has to do with the constellation Sirius and not at all with heat, which I’d assumed.
I like the lazy dog version better.

It’s Friday and it’s a brand-new month. How about that.
I guess that happens about twelve times a year. Roughly.
Not going to linger today, it’s been a longish week but not awful productivity-wise. I made progress on the manuscript, the ending is crescendoing and the last of it in sight. So that’s not terrible.
I did find myself wanting to work on something else, but I figure I can finish this book and then while it simmers I’ll move on.
And workouts were five days, five workouts. They were really good ones this week, and one of my favorite trainers who hasn’t been around much lately had the workout today.
So not bad. Better than some weeks, worse, probably, than others, but forward.

And now we’re nearly through July. Not sure how it keeps flying like this, but it sure does.
It wasn’t a terribly productive week, as I was caught up in the world and other stuff, so the writing is nothing really to report. It was an odd week; there was the pre-Mueller testimony, the testimony and the post-Mueller testimony.
And there was some personal stuff as well, to layer on to the political madness.
As happens in 2019.
