After a morning stroll….no, stroll sounds too pleasant…after a morning march through twitter, it’s inescapable. Everywhere, there’s blatant, unabashed dishonesty, spoken as vehemently as though it were truth.
Like people can invent their own truth.
They make things up out of whole cloth, and defiantly tell you to prove the sky is not green. And you can point to the sky, which, today for me is a muddy gray, and show them its clear lack of greenness, and they will just tell you it’s green.
What you can see for yourself, be damned.
And it’s not just the trolls and bots. Human people have absorbed it, taken it in, and now feel empowered to bend reality to their will, truculently, obstinately. The illogical must be taken as logic, or only abuse will follow.
It’s exhausting.
It’s meant to be.
Let’s not be that, let’s not accept that. Observe it, block it, oh definitely block it, and let it go.
And let’s focus on getting ourselves off this careening edge.
