#FridayThoughts: End of the weeky.

No impeachment trial for me today, I just don’t see the point of it, listening to people try to refute the irrefutable, trying to spread the blame where it doesn’t belong. Conspiring with jurors in the case.

Disgusting.

If you are a thinking person with a functioning brain the truth is clear, and the reality that that man can never again be permitted to hold a position of power plainly obvious. Excuses will not be tolerated.

It’s cold again today, but not as cold as in other places. The sky is sometimes bright and sometimes gray and I’m not sure if the weather has decided what it wants to be and that’s fine. I’m going to use that stretch of time gained by not pounding my head against an inevitably racist wall to finally give some shape to an idea rattling around.

Because why not.

The font looks strange to me today in this space, I’m not sure why, but there it is. I don’t know if it’s the font or me which seems appropriate for a Friday.

#WednesdayWisdom: Fight for language

It might be sunny, it might be cloudy, really it’s hard to tell. A little of each, maybe.

Fitting.

I am struggling for insight today, as the horrors of the terrorist attack and attempted coup are revealed, one by terrible one. This is where allowing people to fictionalize reality leads.

And that’s where we’re going today, then. Do not allow others to choose the words to describe reality. Too easily, terrorists become “protesters,” and an insurrection a “riot.” Clear-intentioned antifascists become meaningless “antifa,” which also allows room for the cutesy name of “profa” for fascists (or pro-fascists, but that is just painfully redundant. A person in favor of fascists is a fascist).

Suddenly no one knows who the bad guys are. Spoiler alert, it’s always the fascist.

The group that has gotten everyone to call them “pro-life” has executed prisoners at an incredible rate and just tried to murder members of Congress, killing 5 people, and failing to kill more not for lack of trying. The pro-police, Blue Lives Matter, thin blue line “just comply” crowd beat a police officer to death and sent something like 50 more to the hospital.

Stop letting them control the narrative. Challenge it every time.

Have a peaceful Wednesday. Impeachment two ahead.
