#TuesdayThoughts: Writenado

Standard

And we’re back to Tuesday. If you’re looking for my #MomUpdate here it is.

As you may know, I randomly decided to do #NaNoWriMo yesterday morning, after seeing a post on twitter from someone who was doing it this year. It’s like I’m a human writenado! Spontaneous?

Yes.

Rash?

Also yes.

Regretting it?

Not yet. But it’s only Day 2.

I still haven’t grabbed a blog badge though. I wonder if I should. Maybe I should only post one if I finish it.

This decision doesn’t seem earth-shattering.

Meanwhile it’s a very sunny day, but also pretty chilly, and I’m wondering if my new fall jacket has the chops for these temps. I won’t be outside for long, though, so maybe I’ll just go with it.

Maybe.

Anyway, that’s it for me for today, there’s a lot still to go in it and I am not ready. I mean literally, I’m still wearing sitting-and-comfortably-writing clothes.

You know the clothes.

Have a fantastic Tuesday, and if you have an election today PLEASE VOTE.

NaNoWriMo’s an Energy Vampire. Hey I Should Write That Down.

Standard

NaNoWriMo 2017 Participant FlairI’d forgotten how tiring NaNoWriMo can be, how it colors the world until everything is the word count. And no matter how long or how little time it takes to get the words out, afterward, it’s as though you’ve depleted a finite internal source.

Or maybe that’s just me.

I’m still trucking along, with a total over 15,000 so far. A NaNo rebel, I continued with a manuscript I’d already started, so I should top 30,000 total on the manuscript today.

Huzzah.

I hope you will understand if this blog is a little less frequent while I’m churning out words as quickly as my fingers can inaccurately get them to form. Anyone else finding it tough to keep a blog going during NaNo? Or maybe finding it cathartic to keep one?

Life is a juggling act, no matter whether you’re juggling cannon balls, oranges, chainsaws or words. Sometimes we drop a few. That’s perfectly fine.

Just watch your feet.
