Well, well, well. Trump was indicted in the federal documents case in Florida, and has to appear in court on Tuesday. At least one republican congressman posted a tweet that sounds like a threat, so things might get wild.
Or maybe he’ll get a visit from the FBI. Such things have happened before.
It was a flurry of news yesterday. Hatemonger pat robertson died, and my clearest memory of him was during the 2000 election when he ran for president. He supposedly won an area with a large Jewish population, and he was skeptical of it as well because he said there is no way Jewish people would vote for him. Which was true, he was a vehement and vocal antisemite, along with all of his other bigotry.
Particularly interesting he died during Pride, given how he blamed gay people for the world’s ills. I think we know who’s side the universe is on.
What a terrible man. The world is a bit brighter without him in it.
This morning trump’s valet who reportedly helped him move the boxes of documents was indicted, and trump’s lawyers apparently quit.
And it’s not even noon yet here in Chicago.
A lot of goodness packed into a few days. Good SCOTUS decisions, good prosecutions and very, very sad republicans who don’t seem to understand that being indicted by a grand jury after a review of evidence IS the rule of law.
That’s it for me this week, I hope you have a lovely Friday and a restful weekend.
