First, #ChatTuesday, “Back at the beginning or way ahead of myself.” And now Tuesday.

I still haven’t found the right Tuesday balance, as I tend to use up most of my thoughts on the Chat Tuesday, leaving this post feeling sometimes redundant, sometimes flat.

None of us like that, I’m sure.

It’s sort of gray today, sort of sunny, and I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the act of writing, of assembling words together, selected carefully from the jumble of language, and arranging them, as though on a platter, for anyone who wants to indulge.

Sometimes the platter gets picked clean and sometimes it languishes like Miss Havisham, eventually falling to tatters.

Is the point of writing to have someone read it?

Would I write if no one was reading at all?

Well I have, and I do, so I guess that’s a yes. It’s my only conduit from my very crowded head, the only thing that reliably works to get a little space for something new.

Guess I had more thoughts after all. Have a wonderful Tuesday.

Buy me a cup of coffee!
