Well it’s Tuesday again, and not a cloud in the sky. There is a cloud in my mind, however because the site froze and I lost my entire post. UGH.
So we’ll save that topic for tomorrow, as I don’t have the heart to rewrite it now and I know it won’t be the same. Enormous sigh.
Instead we can talk about flexibility and resilience, both of which I’m lacking these days, as my instinct was to scrap posting entirely once my entire draft vanished. It’s tough to start over when you are all but finished.
It’s tough to start over when you’re in the middle too.
It’s just tough to start over period.
Flexibility can come and go, sometimes we have more give than other times. Today is not one of those days for me, and yet here I am, straining for that extra inch. It isn’t at all what I planned, it isn’t at all what I’d worked on or built, word by word.
But it’s here.
The biggest battles frequently rage within ourselves. Getting started, keeping going, watching everything vanish into nothing, and picking up the relevant tool and starting once more.
Life is a kind of bumpy we don’t really imagine, and so many of those bumps come out of nowhere. A website freezing mid-back up save and the attempt to copy the whole post not working for some reason known only to the gremlins who exist only to torture the souls of writers, say.
I mean where did my words go?
They have to be somewhere, right?
But I digress, sort of.
We can dodge and dive and hop and parry but there is no way to fully escape the completely-erased finished blog posts of life, to give a very general example to which everyone can relate.
They’re coming for us all, at some point or another.
All we can do, the best we can do, is take our lemons and make new blog posts.
Have a great Tuesday.
