It’s chilly here in Chicago, and keeping warmer is the current priority. Even my computer is cold, though I think they like that.
Soon enough it will be able to tell me.
As many of you know, I’ve entered the exciting world of needle felting, where you use a sharp needle to bind wool fibers together and make basically anything. Apparently you can make pictures as well as 3D objects, and people use felted wool for apparel projects as well.
Though I suspect that isn’t hand-felted.
There is also wet felting, where you use water rather than a needle to bind the fibers and I just learned of felted soap, where you use that technique to encase a bar in essentially its own washcloth.
Fascinating.
It’s amazing the universes you don’t know exist until you know they exist. And then they have their own rabbit holes.
I love a new hobby.
Meanwhile, it looks much warmer outside than it is, which, frankly, seems unfair. At least the weather was good for the marathoners, competitors broke course records in men’s (Marcel Hug) and women’s (Catherine Debrunner) chair racing and women’s marathon (Sifan Hassan), and Kelvin Kiptum set the world record in men’s marathon. So it’s perfect weather for SOMETHING.
Anyway, that’s it for me this Monday morning. Have a great day and a perfect start to your week.
