It’s another sunny day, warmer today than yesterday, but my brain is slower despite my best efforts.
I’ve learned, despite my utter lack of interest, that Hunter Biden was convicted of three charges relating to how he filled out his firearms application, from what I can tell, which is not much because it’s so irrelevant I haven’t paid any attention.
But.
It is curious that Republicans are suddenly so stringent when it comes to matters of gun control. If they are so enthusiastic to enforce the laws that exist, I say we get to it. Someone pull Matt Gaetz’s firearm applications.
It’s so very strange that their constant drumbeat for unlimited weapons of death for every single American excludes one particular American. What an odd coincidence.
Blink. Blink.
If he violated the law he violated the law, and a jury or judge, like I said, paid no attention, determined that to be the case. But the thing is, he’s not running for president.
That guy who just got convicted not on three counts, not on four counts, not on seven counts, not on 15 counts, not 20 counts, not on 25 counts, not on 30 counts but on THIRTY-FOUR counts is.
He. Himself. The person who met with his probation officer yesterday. The person awaiting sentencing that could be as much as four years PER COUNT. Is running for president.
I am sure there are few people with troubled relatives who would want to be held accountable for that adult relative’s actions. And there are many people who have faced life-altering tragedy as Hunter Biden has, and many many people who cope with that in unhealthy ways.
However there is only ONE person who has been convicted of 34 counts who has called himself “president,” and only ONE person who is a convicted felon who is also currently running for president.
Blink. Blink.
Hunter Biden’s problems are not our problems, but trump’s criminal convictions ARE Republican’s problems. He is their guy.
The man who told people he doesn’t care about them, implying he didn’t care if they died from the heat as it sent 11 people to the ER, but all he cared about was their vote. The convicted felon who told his supporters that the MAGA would kill themselves rather than see another Biden term.
Which strikes me as a convicted felon calling for violence.
Blink. Blink.
So don’t take the side roads, don’t take the bait. The only convicted criminal in the presidential race is trump.
