It’s an overcast, possibly rainy, 4th of July, perhaps America’s last as a democracy.
That’s up to us.
It doesn’t feel like a celebration, more like a grim reminder of how bold “republican” fascists have become. They’re not hiding it in the dense language of the tax code anymore, that’s for sure.
No it’s out and open for anyone to read, in their Project 2025. They are telling us their intentions with their full breath, with every single ounce of their existence.
It’s probably time to actually believe that’s what they plan to do, given the opportunity.
There’s such a tendency to minimize, but if this last term of the Supreme Court has taught us anything, it’s that the “conservatives” think they are the law, not the Constitution. Their disdain for that document they pretend to protect could not be clearer.
You want dystopia?
If you don’t elect Democrats for every single office you can, you will get dystopia. By now you should fully understand that is not hyperbole. They have a document making clear their intention to overthrow the Constitution completely. If you think you’ll be fine, you’ll learn there is white not white enough, Christian not the right kind of Christian.
This isn’t to scare you, this is a plain, clear statement of the facts as they currently exist. Pretending it is less dire than it is will not help.
We have a media that has turned a single debate performance into a key issue when Jeffrey Epstein’s records from a previous case are now out and heavily implicate donald trump.
Trump, a convicted felon, has more warning signs than a nuclear waste dump, and yet the media tries to minimize, to make it all better. We won’t let these stories slide.
Counter every single negative story about Pres. Biden with a factual one about trump. It’s not hard, there are thousands of them that show how horrible he is, what a risk he is. We lived under that evil cloud for four years.
We can’t let them cajole us into another term, because that one won’t end. He tried it once.
