Rainy again, but this morning, DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison put an end to the talk about Pres. Biden, stating unequivocally that he is the nominee we selected, and pointing out that Democrats should be talking about trump, not attacking our own party.
I was so pleased, I wrote him to thank him and to address my concerns about my own rep.
Speaking of, I received a very unsatisfactory response from my rep this morning, so I contacted his campaign and updated my story about my open letter. Since I think he’s thriving on seeing his name more frequently, I’m going to use it less. You can find out who he is in the link if you don’t know, but otherwise, I just see him as an unreliable turncoat.
It’s been a busy morning. I have more I’d like to write on Medium, but I’m not sure it’s going to get done today. Rage can really eat up a chunk of your day.
But this is justifiable rage. Good rage. Necessary rage. If you’re not there, if you’re feeling down and defeated as the media is trying to get you to feel, do a workout where you punch at stuff. That will get you in the right frame of mind.
All the better if has some great anthems as a backdrop.
Because what a handful of Democrats who are supposed to be watching out for our interests have done is completely infuriating. Instead of using the time and attention they’ve gotten to highlight what really matters, like more allegations that trump sexually assaulted children with a known trafficker who died in federal prison under his watch.
Like Project 2025, a nazi redux that isn’t shy about making clear those are the concepts if not the words they are using, and the Supreme Court that has indicated it’s all in.
What they are thinking, these Democrats–who know as well as I do that some Republican-led states have already threatened to try to keep Pres. Biden off the ballot, let alone “TBD”– are thinking, I don’t know. The states don’t have to be successful in court to be successful; by late August, after the DNC, delaying is easy.
And we’ve already seen convicted criminal trump and his fascist buddies use the court system to delay. Quite successfully, as a matter of fact, with the aiding and abetting of the Supreme Court.
Also speaking of, we just learned that Clarence Thomas, in all the money and vacations he’s allegedly taken from people with money, also reportedly took a yacht trip to Russia and a helicopter ride to putin’s hometown funded by Harlan Crowe.
Let us bring everything back to reality, back to the real issues, and let us do with with righteous indignation because we are right to be indignant.
It’s not only wildly insulting but incredibly dangerous.
And with that, I wish you a Thursday filled with the right kind of productive anger.
