It’s a very different place than it was on Friday, this moment in time where we find ourselves. Yesterday was seismic, a little bit personally as well, though I won’t be going into that.
But with the presidential campaign. Pres. Biden, in a written statement, said he wouldn’t be seeking reelection and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris. I thank Pres. Biden with all my heart for a lifetime of incredible and selfless service to this nation and its citizens. He is a great man and a great president, and I am obviously sad to see him go.
I’m also sad that instead of a victory lap, the end of that service to us was filled with haranguing and disrespect, he deserves so much better than that. But as I said last week, I trust his judgment, and his judgment is now is the time.
And let me tell you, Vice President Harris is quite the solace in the form of a candidate. People are energized; people are excited. It’s easier to know and move forward than to hang in that state of waiting and uncertainty.
Now if you’re (or someone you know) one of those people who “Just doesn’t like her” and “can’t put your finger on it,” it’s the time to be honest with yourself because we will happily put your finger on it for you. And you can do that work later.
The reality is she’s not inviting you over for cookies, she’s not suggesting you grab drinks after work. She is the human barrier between us and full-on fascism.

Fascism.
Project 2025 is clear and unwavering, it will destroy the United States as we know it and turn it into a fascist oligarchy. If you didn’t enjoy the sway the wealthy have had over our choice of candidate, you’re really not going to enjoy Russia the Rerun.
So we thank Pres. Biden for exemplary commitment to the public good and we keep going with Vice President Harris, who, coincidentally, has also spent a career in service to the public good. She also made Brett Kavanaugh cry, and there’s nothing not to love about that.
Many of us were behind her in 2020, and we’re thrilled to be behind her again. You may be new to the party but there is plenty of room, no cover charge and women count as entire people.
I’ve said many times that we are in a unique crossroads of history, and VP Harris will, without question, lead us confidently, competently, unflinchingly down the right road.
With Republicans and the “Step Down” mean kid press having gotten their way, we get to watch the dog who caught the car try to figure out what to do with it, so that’s fun too.
