And it’s Tuesday, which I had to remind myself before I did Monday for the second time. I’m not sure what second Mondays are like but we probably don’t want to find out.
It’s sunny and warm, and we have a whole bunch of new spouters, so welcome!! Or “whalecome,” as someone else came up with. It’s a fun, supportive, engaging place to be, especially with the season of politics upon us.
Perpetually, it seems, but on Spoutible, we don’t have to wade through the trolls and the bots. We’re not totally free of them, mind you, because no place is and it’s growing every day but it’s no hellscape.
Also the CEO, Christopher Bouzy, doesn’t consort with the likes of donald, so I’d call that a plus. A huge plus. A major reason to use the site.
So hopefully you’ll adjust quickly and well, if you haven’t already. It’s a site that requires engagement to get engagement, and people, by and large, are friendly.
But not in the face of aggravating behavior, so keep that in mind. If you respond in a way you know will needle, don’t be surprised to receive pushback. Same with mansplaining and any type of bigotry.
And don’t even think about a “not all […]” response.
Trust me on that.
Overall, though, the place is a whole lot like the Harris/Walz campaign itself. We want to live in the glowing future, and we don’t like artificial clouds raining for the sake of raining.
We find our happiness where it comes, and you will see silliness next to seriousness, even from the same people.
Above all, you will find people being their authentic selves, whatever that might be, so you should dive on in yourself.
