The storms are coming, and they will be rough. Likely violent. We may or may not have warning of every gale.
So I suggest to you this:
Secure your foundation.
Now is the time, figure out how to keep from being carried off and blown away, thrown around in the churning sea.
Secure your foundation.
It may be the very base you have now, and if that’s the case, do all you can to shore it up. And it may not be; there may be a completely different vision you have, a change of structure, a change of material.
A change of who will help you to batten down the hatches.
Look ahead with unflinching, unwavering practicality. What steps can you take, now, to ready for what lies ahead?
Because beyond all the other things we may be, we are merely humans attempting to survive an increasingly harsh world. And we’ve learned there are so many other humans we cannot trust not to try to eat us whole.
We shall become unpalatable.
We know the bad is coming, they’re so happy about the bad coming, they haven’t hidden their intentions at all. We are our own forcefields.
What can you do to secure your foundation?
What can you do to be all gristle and no meat?
To turn yourself into a pufferfish?
Sometimes planning the small steps helps. Sometimes envisioning the big steps helps.
Granted I’m no expert, I’ve had the same experiences as you, probably, so far. We’ve read the huge, serial-killery letters scrawled on the wall.
The rest can come later.
Right now, secure your foundation.
Have the best Thursday available to you.
