It’s cold, and it’s gray, and earlier, it was raining. It looks a lot more like autumn than spring, and if the trees liked the gusts yesterday, today they must be estatic.

I feel like I’m very close to a pun there, but not quite.

I’ve got a list of tasks that exceed my will to do them, I’m sure NO ONE knows what that is like. I’m sure everyone else is perfectly inspired, ready to go, and energized at all times.

I’ll wait until you stop laughing.

“Motivation” and “energy” are tricky things, amorphous. We know them when we see them.

Or, more to the point, when we don’t.

Unfortunately, life cannot wait for them, not always, at least. Some things have to get done because they have to get done. They’re tasks that rise and fall with the tide; they’re required for maintenance; they’re standing in the way of other things.

We can choose how long we let them lie, but eventually, they have to get done.

One way or another.

Nature isn’t a procrastinator, it does what it needs to do whenever it needs to be done. Like conjuring a fierce wind and a mottled gray sky.

If those were on my list, I could check them off already.

I wonder what nature’s checklist looks like.

It’s probably really long.

Anyway, that’s it for me today, I will face my list with my coffee, still nice and hot in the covered tumbler, and wish you the best of Tuesdays.

Buy me a cup of coffee!
