It’s cloudy today, we had storms last night, really loud ones. I had to run out to Michael’s this morning, you know, “cake emergency,” and the woman who helped me told me she hadn’t gotten any sleep because her dog was frightened by the noise.
Poor pup.
And the funniest part about it was while I was in the aisle getting what I needed, another woman appeared, minutes after the store opened.
“Cake emergency?” I asked her.
“Yup,” she said.
We bonded.
Hopefully she got what she needed.
We may get more rain today, though who knows. I’m off to visit a friend I haven’t seen in a while, so like the post office, the weather shall not deter me.
So I have varied my routine not a little but a lot these last few days. I wish I were less tired so I could revel in it more, but I’m sure the day will perk me up, even if the coffee isn’t terribly, terribly effective.
I’m pulling for you, coffee. You can do it!!
Anyway, that’s it for me this week, only a short hello before I get on with getting on, but I wish you a lovely, novel in the best way Friday and a wonderful weekend.
