It’s sunny, it’s still pretty warm, though they say the weather is about to change. We’ll see.

I didn’t sleep well last night, it was one of those long, quiet ones where you keep waking up from dreams you can’t quite remember, can’t really say were unpleasant, exactly, but leave you not wanting to go back to sleep.

I’m unsettled.

In general, overall.

I’ve been eating mindfully, I’ve been exercising, I am taking care physically, so it’s not that kind of unbalance.

We had all those incredible wins, and yet here in Chicago, the terrorism continues. One horrible story after another, no matter what the court orders say.

And I told you what it was like before they came here, didn’t I, how calm it was, how beautiful.

As someone who was tear gassed said, it wasn’t a war zone. They’re making it a war zone. And worse, none of the force is justifiable, and they invent stories to make it sound better but even in their versions, it’s still not justifiable.

I have to tell myself that like the rioters who destroyed the Capitol and strolled out, these people, too, will some day face justice for what they’re doing. They are not protected from claims of brutality.

I know those rioters were pardoned, but they still faced more consequences than they ever had before.

I have to tell myself that.

The cruelty is so disgusting, I can’t wrap my brain around it. Or the scummy, unredeemable people who perpetuate it.

It’s hard to believe in justice right now, but we had Tuesday.

Remember Tuesday.

Even in those long, dark, hours of the night.

Have a great Thursday.
