It’s another sunny day, not that hot but feels hot, it’s so weird how that happens. And speaking of sunny, you might notice some new sunny yellow “Buy me a coffee” buttons around here, on the side bar and on the site footer, and a new “tip” button on my Spoutible profile.

Times are as times are, and I thought I’d utilize some tools to prepare for some not fun expenses ahead. No pressure; I haven’t yet decided if I’m going to use the Buy Me a Coffee site to create exclusive (we all know that means “paywalled”) content. I could do the same here, WordPress does offer some tools, though they are a little harder to work with.

I enjoy expressing my ideas here most of all, we’ve created such a perfect space for that, and some of the other sites, like Medium, for example, are getting less and less worth the effort.

So we’ll see.

If you want to support my work, now you have more ways to do that, beyond buying my books which I promise are slowly all working their way to paperback. If you just want to enjoy my work as before, there is no pressure, no guilt, no obligation.

Like so many things, we’ll simply see how it goes.

Beyond all that, we are now two days post-debate and it seems media in general is regaining its footing, finding ways to criticize the Vice President for a performance that exceeded anything in recent memory. They haven’t stooped to “over-prepared” as of yet, as they did with Secretary Clinton, but there are claims that VP Harris didn’t talk about policy because she spent all her time goading donald.

To be clear, he’s not a man who requires much goading, but it’s true he lost what mind he had on that stage and continues to do so.

I completely disagree with any comments claiming the VP didn’t talk about policy; I posit that the mostly male critics simply didn’t listen. Much like the way I object to any complaints that ABC showed VP Harris favoritism, given donald spoke for a far greater amount of time and frequently had the last word, no matter who was initially asked the question.

For anyone who wants to explore the Harris/Walz policy stances in depth, here you go, laid out for the world to see with a few words in google.

But it always goes this way, doesn’t it, the endless desire to make donald something better than the waste of atoms he is; the constant fight to make all who oppose him something less than what they are.

It seems to me that mainstream media almost has it, almost gets that we are not fully beholden to them anymore to tell us what is or isn’t important, what did or didn’t happen, what it means, what to think.

Almost.

But not quite.

Like so many things, we’ll simply see how it goes.

That’s it for me on this Thursday, have a wonderful day.

Buy me a cup of coffee!
