It’s sunny and frigid, and will be for a while. The cold we can handle, though, we can try to stay out of it, bundle up if we’re in it, try to cut the time in the wind icy enough to take your breath.

From here, it looks fine.

I’ve turned off the ads on the site, for now at least, forever maybe. They are only making money for the advertiser, and a friend very kindly let me know that some of the ads being serviced were unacceptable.

As I can’t control them, and I had no desire to turn on targeted ads here, in this place where we chat, I figure why continue to run them? At this rate, I wouldn’t see a payout for like 16 years.

Doesn’t seem worthwhile for me.

So I will consider other options, but for now, at least, having run them as an experiment for I think around 4 months seriously, it’s just not worth it for me.

We can do that, you know, we can change things, and we can take our time to decide if they should change, if there are better ways. We can try things on and decide against them.

Why shouldn’t we?

Everything doesn’t have to be static, fixed in place.

We can do and we can undo.

Of course there are some things, once done, that cannot be rewound. Such is the nature of life and our singular direction in it.

But don’t assume everything has to be as it is. Maybe the shifts will be small; maybe seismic.

Maybe it’s as simple as turning off the ads.

Whichever way it is, have a great Wednesday.
