It’s gray today, and though there’s no rain expected, I am not sure I buy into that assessment. They do say tomorrow, though.

Maybe the rain will be early.

What do I have to say today? That’s a mystery to me too.

So much lies between the said and the unsaid, the scary thoughts kept inside and the ones we are willing to share.

What do I have to say today?

Well, that’s a good question.

I don’t want to share my dark assessment of reality. I don’t want to think my dark assessment of reality.

But we all have them, these glimpses into what is and what will be. All in the shadow of what could have been.

Frankly, I don’t know what to tell you.

The bad is here and the bad looks pretty entrenched. Comfortably entrenched.

But not intractably entrenched.

Because nothing ever is. No matter how tall the wall, how vast the wall, eventually it crumbles. Still there are gaps.

Time and time again.

Knowledge, critical thinking, unvarnished observation are our tools.

There’s a reason such things are under attack.

We are here now, but we don’t have to be here always. And that’s the thing to keep in mind.

Have a great Wednesday.
