It’s the last day of June, sunny for now, hot but not horrible, and things are changing.
Some for the better, many for the worse, and others, well, we’ll have to wait and see.
But life itself is change, when you think about it. Life itself requires change because the alternative is unwavering stillness. That’s not a trick of the living.
People say not to fear change, but I don’t know how those people do it, boldly accepting the unknown. I don’t like even small changes, that’s just the way I’m built. I’d say I was born at the wrong time, but all times are times of change.
People in the first cars had never moved so fast.
Except for maybe trains.
Hmm.
You get the idea.
The next few weeks will be awful as decisions come down, and we watch this country carved to shreds by the people intended to preserve it.
John Roberts will shake his finger at us for not understanding and not appreciating, acting as if it all makes sense within the framework of the Constitution, and the opinions aren’t death blows.
That change is coming.
Whether we want it or not.
Not so upbeat, but better to be realistic.
Have a Monday with only good change, the very best possible.
