It’s feeling steamy even though it’s in the low 80s, and they say thunderstorms are on the way this afternoon. The weather has been weird lately.

Join the club, weather.

Before we launch into this week that includes the very end bit of July and the beginning bit of August, if you can believe it, I want to thank Deb and SOMEONE for the cups of coffee. Both you, Deb, and you, SOMEONE, are such steady supporters of my writing, and I don’t mean just the coffee. It’s so wonderful to have you both in my corner. Thank you.

And now, Monday, whether we want it to be or not.

This is one of those days where the words and I seem not to be on speaking terms. Saturday, Sunday, I probably had ten ideas for this morning, but now as I sit here, morning ticking away, whatever they were, they were long gone.

I’m not even sure writing them down would have helped because the mood is the mood and moods are fleeting. One of the dangers of my in-the-moment blog method, I suppose.

By the way, I think they may be right about those thunderstorms, the clouds are rolling in, heavy, gray, business-like.

I am still feeling much like a human dust devil, which, as I write that, makes me sound like a vacuum. That I am not.

I’m reasonably sure.

But round and round and round my thoughts go, though hopefully things are getting resolved.

You never know for sure until they are or they aren’t, and that’s just a life thing we all throw around like a hot potato, one way or another.

Eventually it cools or it hits the floor.

I told a friend this weekend I was starting to feel like a burnt-out lightbulb, emotions and stress burned through me until there were no more to burn.

Maybe that’s a good thing?

Can’t say for sure, but I can say that I will take this week as it comes, and hope that by the end of it, at least one big cesspool of stress will be empty.

May all your cesspools be drained this week.

Have a great Monday.
