It’s normal summer hot, the air is mostly breathable today, and I think I am finally starting to unstress after the whole selling/moving thing.

Phew.

But that’s definitely thanks in part to Gail, whose coffee could not have come at a better time. Thank you, yes I DID need a cup of coffee, which gave me the clarity of thought to let go of the sofa I thought I wanted. Thank you for the pick-me-up.

Now for Monday, good old Monday. In case you were invested in my sofa saga, and who wouldn’t be, my dad and I ended going to Room & Board, which you may not know is employee owned and almost all made in the USA. They are committed to sustainability and, while definitely not cheap, they have stuff that lasts.

And that’s not a paid plug, that’s simply so that you can also make choices when deciding on furniture and decorative elements.

Honestly it was my favorite sofa visually of all I looked at, and we were able to try it in the store. It was wildly comfortable.

So that’s done, thank goodness.

I still have some of those annoying things to do that come with moving, but bit by bit, that sense of selling/moving panic is ebbing away. And I’m glad I went the way I did, because the market is only getting weirder.

I’m adjusting to my truly city view from my desk, after so many years perched high, high above it all, my vista unfurling far below.

It’s someone else’s view now.

I expected that thought to feel different, but it doesn’t. Things change, times change and even I change.

How about that.

There is a lot more change ahead for all of us, so if you are considering one that might make you feel more stable, more secure, more centered, please go for it. I don’t know if it’s time to splash out on risks, but we’ve talked before about how I’m risk averse.

Kind of mellow for a Monday when my thoughts are all over the place, but I suppose it’s better than being frantic. The day will unfurl, no matter what we do about it.

Have a great Monday.

Buy me a cup of coffee!
