It’s sunny, and it’s cooler, and there’s still no need for the US military to deploy to…Chicago.
Unless they want some pizza, sweeping, outstanding views, and museums people travel across the world to visit. And if that what they want, there are easier ways to do it.
I’m sure Expedia has packages.
Sometimes I can’t believe now is real.
Yesterday we had my Dad’s follow up appointment for his arm, and I was shocked when he walked out of the office without a splint and without a cast. Apparently the appointment was so far out that it was too late to put a cast on, but it was also already healing and the break was very minor.
We witnessed no crime on the way there or on the way back, by the way, down to everyone was courteous at the stop signs.
So now my Dad has use of his arm, only needs to use the sling when he has to, and he’s trying to limit that, and he’s working on his range of motion with a lot of diligence.
We sent back the one under desk pedal exerciser and got another one, and this one seems to be perfect. He’s happy to be biking again, so overall, that’s going as well as it could be.
Aside from the possible military invasion of a US city by the US military after both the mayor of the city and the governor said no. That’s not going well.
What I wouldn’t give to be able to snap my fingers or wiggle my nose and make it all go away. To roll away this timeline and roll on the correct one, like some elaborate universal stage set.
As far as I know, I don’t have that power.
As far as I know.
Instead, doomed to be a mere mortal, I must sit and wait and watch like everyone else.
Sigh.
So I will work on what I can control, keep as much in focus as I can, and keep going. Forward is our only direction.
Have a great Tuesday.
