Not a cloud in the sky, at least none that I can see. It’s warm, and the third person they’ve accused of shooting Charlie Kirk is a white male from a Republican family who, and I haven’t been able to verify this myself, apparently went dressed as donald trump for Halloween.
Which is what we’ve been saying.
Allegedly he had become “more political” and “expressed opposition” to Charlies views recently but honestly, they have worked so hard to make this some kind of liberal thing, I’m not sure how much stock I put in any of that.
There’s also some talk about what was written on his bullets, but I can only find one source mentioning fascism and it’s not reputable.
I’m sure the apologies for all the horrible accusations and all the vicious things they’ve said about us are forthcoming. Probably along with my pot of gold from the end of a rainbow, and the deed to the bridge they sold me.
I don’t think there’s a clearer example of how, when they look at us, they only see themselves. They feed their children on anger and rage and guns being the answer to everything and then they’re surprised when they use guns as the answer to everything.
We don’t know why the alleged shooter turned on his own side, if he even considered it that. We probably will never know the truth of the situation, which, in my head, could be as tangled as any predictable political thriller.
All this talk of “political violence,” and the assumption that it was, what will they do now? Is it still “political violence” if it’s “friendly fire?”
Is it still “political violence” when it’s clear that the rhetoric that stoked it could only be their own?
I’ll tell you what will happen. They’ll stop talking about it.
The shooter at Evergreen High School in Colorado, the same day that Charlie was shot, was said to have been “radicalized” with white supremacy and antisemitism. What no one is saying is he may have gotten those views from Charlie himself.
I am tired of being commanded to pretend that reality is different than it is, under the guise of “civility” or “decency” or whatever other word they use for others but not themselves.
I’m done with it.
If this 22-year-old is the killer, they raised him. They handed him the weapons and they fed him a steady diet of violence and anger.
But whatever. That’s done. Let’s get back to talking about trump’s fake “joke” check TO BUY A HUMAN WOMAN, from a notorious trafficker, no less. Let’s go back to talking about donald’s unforgiveable raid on the Hyundai plant in Georgia, where he treated guests who came to help like criminals.
Let’s talk about the real rhetoric of violence, donald’s threat of WAR against Chicago, threat to “wipe out” Portland and all the heated bigotries republicans, including Charlie, stoke.
Let’s talk about these nonsensical, cruel ICE operations meant to terrorize.
Let’s talk about donald’s apparently drooping face, and how, at a 9/11 event, he did not look well.
Let’s talk about how republicans voted to block the Epstein files from coming out.
Let’s talk about actual gun violence and whether republicans still think some deaths are acceptable when one of those deaths is the guy who said some deaths are acceptable.
I didn’t care about Charlie Kirk when he was alive, he was just one of those odious voices I turned off immediately, one of those faces I cringed when I saw.
I don’t care about him now that he’s dead, either, the only thing I care about is republicans admitting it’s their rhetoric, their political violence, their zoo and their leopards.
And with that, I wish you a lovely Friday and a wonderful weekend.
