It’s sunny, it’s chillier, and apparently the thugs can’t stand the cold so they got out of Chicago, vowing to be back “in the spring.”
Mm. Hmm.
Such tough guys.
Definitely aiming to destroy tourism, that’s clear.
Hopefully the courts will find way to prohibit their return, because we don’t need them. All they are doing is using taxpayer money to terrify and brutalize taxpayers.
On Friday I ran a slew of errands, and while pushing a cart at Costco, my wrist just started to hurt. I don’t know why, I didn’t feel anything happen.
But it persisted, so I skipped movie night, which was a bummer, it seemed like it would be a fun one, and spent the weekend trying to let it undo itself.
It does feel better now. So who knows, one of those weird, random things. Typing feels pretty much OK, but you’re probably not getting a long rant.
I seem to be doing my ranting in little spouts on Spoutible, anyway, even though I guess I could have saved those nuggets for here. Interesting choice, I think, not sure why I made it.
As we tumble onward toward real winter and the holidays, I find myself thinking I simply want everyone to be OK. Maybe that seems like aiming low, but right now, with all the horror, the terror, the targeting, the prices, the jobs situation, the cost of food and other basic necessities, healthcare, on and on…
I want people to be OK.
Well.
I don’t care about the people who brought this upon us and themselves, they can be however they’re going to be, they knew better and they should have acted better. The information was there, we all dealt with it the first time an a whole lot of people didn’t live to tell the tale.
I don’t care if they have food or if they can afford electricity or if their flights are all canceled or if the thing they voted for that menace for is the very thing that brings them down.
I care about the rest of us.
And I feel like OK isn’t too much to ask right now, with everything so difficult.
Anyway, that’s it for me on this Monday. I hope you have a lovely day, and if you can’t swing that, at the very least, one that is OK.
