It’s snowing today, not a ton but enough to make the outside look pixilated between the flakes. The wind is strong though, stronger than I thought it would be yesterday.
The Windy City indeed.
It’s wintry, but what else would it be, here at the very end of December? At the very end of a year so muddied the quicksand is back?
Oh is it ever back.
With the new year looming, I’m going to be making some changes, though aren’t we all. But we can talk about that later.
No worries, the blog will be here, I’m not planning on ending it, but why not try something different in 2026?
Anything different?
Last year around this time I was contemplating an big move, and I took my time in doing it. And I’m glad I did.
So I guess what I’m thinking today is how we don’t have to make snap decisions, including large decisions. But we also don’t have to stay planted in the exact spot where we find ourselves.
It’s been an awful year in so many ways, but there was also good in it, under the rubble, between the cracks.
As we move into a new year, having had the chance to regain our footing, we need to keep our eyes clear, our minds clear, our hearts clear.
If we cannot do anything else, we will try.
We will try.
Have a great Monday.
