WordPress is using a new image generator, so if you’ve noticed a change in the post images, that’s why. I don’t think it’s great, and it takes a lot longer to get a usable image, but please bear with us as we clearly have to learn together.
The AI and me, that is.
We’re under a flood watch, gray, apparently lots of wind. Rain too, later. I thought I heard rain earlier but the weather didn’t say anything about it.
Only the ground knows for sure.
Thank you so much, Deb, for the coffee! I know I was all pro-decaf yesterday, but today I’m back on the real stuff and I’m so glad you saw that coming! I seriously appreciate it!
I got my ergonomic supplies, I’m typing on the keyboard as we…speak? Write and read? Technically we do these things at different times. Hmm.
But I like it so far. People complained about the keyboard it being cramped but it’s fine for my hands. They’re not super big, so maybe that’s the key. To the KEYboard.
Yikes, you guys, this isn’t going well.
Keyboard is great though. I give it an A(sdfjkl;)!
Really, really not going well.
My footrest is one of those things that’s like a very firm pillow and you can put it different ways depending on how you feel. Not bad either. As I said yesterday, I’m hoping I’ll be able to settle in and type for longer stretches more comfortably.
Riveting stuff.
But here’s the thing about the mundane. Nothing that is happening in our world right now is even close to mundane or usual or even sane. We are tumbling through times we tried to prevent and very few people want, so when we can create small pockets of normalcy for ourselves, even for a few minutes in a morning over a cup of coffee, it feels like an escape.
We can’t escape everything all the time, there are words for that and I’m pretty sure they’re all in that mental health manual. But if we don’t disengage, if we don’t look down and study the cracks in the sidewalk or chitchat about the small changes we’re making, the weight of it all could swallow us whole.
Yes, I know that was a very mixed metaphor. I tried to fix it but my brain refused, it likes it so here we are, metaphors mixed.
We can do that, you know. Mix metaphors and focus on minutia.
It could be the new YOLO.
MMAFM.
Catchy.
Anyway, that’s it for me on this gloomy Thursday, I hope you have an exceptionally lovely day.
