It’s one of those mornings when the coffee cools quickly cools, so suddenly I’ve decided to heat things up with an #ImpromtuPrompt #ThursdayTen!
Before we get down to business, though, I want to thank “Someone” for buying me a coffee yesterday. That certain “Someone” is a very kind supporter of my writing, and a person I’m so glad to call my friend. Thank you, I appreciate you muchly.
And on to the business of the day: ten word stories!! Spooky edition!!
Now typically I will use just one image, but our friend @Dcroucher has been busy making a bunch of creepy crawly spooky images for Halloween so I’m going to give you options. You can use any or all, weave them together (oh yes, you can have 50 words if you want for that, or try to cram it into 10, it’s your story) but you know the catch.
Your story must be EXACTLY ten words (per image.) Just say which you’re using by number or name! Or making us guess could be fun too.
EXACTLY ten words.
Image 1 is above, lets call it: Girl. Description: a charcoal image of the back of a girl in a tattered dress with floating, messy hair walking a path that curves around her, headed toward spiky buildings on mountains. Ahead of her, dull balloons float, tied to her hair. Credit: @Dcroucher
Image 2: Haunted

Image 3: Forest

Image 4: Summoning

Image 5: Snowstorm

So those are all the images! I have to play too, so ready?
Here are mine! Well one 10 word story and one rebellion:
Snowstorm:
When he grew closer he realized which was the shadow.
Girl (I’m breaking my own rules here, it’s way more than 10 words but this popped into my head so I’m going rogue:
The balloons never left her
No matter how she tried
So one day she cut them
And cried and cried and cried.
Ok so I’m a total maverick! Anyway, have a great Thursday and happy writing!
