It’s sunny for now, and hot, but we have a severe thunderstorm warning. We’ll see what happens, who can know where the day will lead.
Today my day was all out of order, things jumbled, coffee rushed and undrunk. Undrinken? Undrunken?
Nope the first one, and how inelegant.
But it’s OK because I’m here now. It was not the way I envisioned the day, it’s not the way I planned it while I worked out this morning, but maybe it will turn out better than I expected.
Maybe
We’ll bide our time and see.
Sometimes we get waylaid by the sequence by which we think things should go. It can paralyze us, even; stop us in our tracks, suddenly finding another door where a room should be.
There are people who are very go with the flow, and others who are very stop with the flow, and like most of you, I’m sure I fall somewhere between. I don’t mind a routine or an order, but I can also see when that order will make me trip over my own feet.
Sometimes.
We all know I’m not that cool.
But today, even though it’s now way past my blogtime, I will endeavor to be cool with it, which, once again, only underscores that I’m not that cool because I used the word “endeavor” when “try” also exists.
We are, each of us, doing our best, and what that looks like can vary widely one day to the next. Perfection is a mirage, an illusion that only serves to hurt and hinder us.
Instead we shall be the People of Good Enough, we shall be the ones who Get a Thing Done Even if It Wasn’t the Original Thing.
We are living in times that are time enough for all of us, there is no need to create additional rules that don’t serve us, that only tend to make us feel bad.
Who needs it?
The world will do it for us.
So what if it was out of order, still we had our chat, and even if it wasn’t over coffee, it was.
It happened. It was.
And with that, I wish you a truly terrific Wednesday.
