It was cloudy when I sat down and largely cloudy now but I definitely see the sun making a break for it. No rain for us today, probably, and it’s already coolly in the low 70s.

Things are settling into a bit of a routine over here, now that we’re almost into a week of my Dad’s broken arm. He’s determined to do as much as he can though, which is good.

Since he can’t ride his exercise bike, which he loves, he’s been walking the apartment instead in the mornings. But I got him a surprise that should be here today: one of those under-desk peddler things. Like basically a bike without the bike.

Hopefully he will like it, it will at least give him some variety if nothing else and it can be used with the arms, so if he needs it for rehab later, there it is.

But shh.

Don’t tell him!

It’s our secret for now!

I’ll tell you how it goes tomorrow.

The clouds are back, but I can still see openings.

Honestly, I still haven’t felt like I’ve caught my breath. Last night, while going to sleep, I suddenly thought I’d forgotten to do something at my old condo, and it startled me back to awakeness.

And then I remembered I have nothing I have to do there. In fact if I went back and tried to do things there, that would be an issue.

It was such a long distance from thinking of selling it to getting it ready to list, there are times I feel like I jumped ahead to the ending. It’s OK, though, it’s done.

I just have to get my late night racing mind to catch up.

Eventually there will be no more boxes and eventually there will be no more decisions about what to keep and what to let go. Eventually.

Eventually.

But until then, I will keep plugging away with it, trying to go with the things that show up, unexpected, uninvited.

Now I’m not so sure about that rain.

And then, in the time it took to finish writing and to do the things I have to do to post, the clouds vanished, and I’m looking at nearly clear blue sky.

Have a great Wednesday.
