It’s sunny and pretty warm at a nice 50 F (10 C), and I am flittering around thinking about everything but what I’m writing.
I’ve definitely had more than one day like that.
Come on, peppermint mocha coffee creamer. Do your thing.
Before we skip off to wherever we’re going, and today your guess is as good as mine, I would like to thank Gail for her preemptive sneeze protection and deliciously warm beverage. I am pleased to report it must have worked, because I have virtually sneezeless today. Thank you.
And another big thank you to SOMEONE who also got me a coffee yesterday. This SOMEONE is always very generous with far more than cups of coffee, but also time, thought, and carefully weighed insights. So thank you, too, SOMEONE, I appreciate you.
And on to Thursday, she wrote confidently.
As I said above, I’m definitely feeling better, no more sneezing though I’m absolutely draggy. So I guess the allergy/cold debate rages on. Since I don’t want anyone else having to work out the same problem, I’m trying to keep a low profile until it goes over.
Not that I’m one for a high profile, come to think of it.
Anyway, it’s one of those days where my brain has retreated away from the big stuff, and instead is wondering if I need another bookshelf in my bedroom, or if I need some organizing baskets, or when, exactly, I’m going to fold my laundry or whether I’ll be able to get the roof on the little flower house building block model I’m working on, or if I should start a new writing project that’s been swirling around my head, just on and on, a whirlwind of thoughts entirely removed from what everything looks like today.
Not budgets and greedy public servants with their hands in the till; not bloviating sludge puddles of repulsiveness in ill-fitting suits and let’s pretend hair; not dead sex traffickers and the friends we already knew they had.
Nope.
Today is a day for mental minutia, and I think that’s fine.
And like that, the post I haven’t written is written.
Have a fantastic Thursday, whatever you may have on your mind.
